POSITION SUMMARY:
Under close supervision, maintains data files and control procedures for a system of networked computers or for a single group of microcomputers linked to a host workstation, or mainframe. Assists in maintaining system security and data integrity. Assigns passwords and monitors use of resources, backs up files as required and responds to management requests for information. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in establishing and maintaining user accounts, assigns file permissions and establishes password and account policies; installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a production environment. Participates in reviewing performance logs and monitors system performance. Troubleshoots and resolves basic level system hardware, software and communications problems and aids in performing configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity; performs automated and manual backup and restore processes. Installs, configures and tests software packages. Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Performs daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
Performs regular file archival and purge as necessary. Creates, changes, and deletes user accounts per request.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and zero to two years of related experience. No demonstrated experience is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Must have one of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate : IT Infrastructure (MTA:IT) or; Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate : Windows 7 (MCSA:DT) or; Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate : Windows 8 (MCSA:DT) or; Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:Client) Desktop Support Tech on Windows 7 or; Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:Client) Desktop Admin on Windows 7 or; Computer Technology Industry Association : A + (A +) or; Computer Technology Industry Association : Network + (Network +) or; Computer Technology Industry Association : Storage + (Storage +). For those that have the experience but no certification, CACI will work with candidate to obtain a certification prior to them being placed on contract.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
