We are looking for a highly skilled Enterprise Management Consultant who will be responsible for providing technical knowledge and skill in enterprise management systems and network management, including architecture design, installation, customization, deployment, operations, training, and problem solving. This position will be expected to understand Enterprise Management Systems products in general, and the IBM Tivoli suite of products in particular, and be able to effectively deploy and manage their utilization and in particular Email monitoring configurations. In addition, as other
monitoring/alerting tools are introduced into the environment the candidate will be required to make recommendations as to how to integrate and support those tools.
This position will also be responsible for setting standards and best practices for the products, and training of technical staff to support configuration of the Tivoli products. The Netcool SME Consultant is responsible for providing on:site support (sustainment, training, trouble shooting, capability enhancements, etc.)
Position Requirements:
The Netcool consultant shall provide Netcool implementation and configuration support by providing a variety of specialized responsibilities with respect to support of event and documentation of the IBM Netcool suite. The individual shall assist with engineering, installation, configuration, administration, training, maintenance planning, and execution for the purchased Netcool product suite listed as follows:
:IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus v 7.3
:IBM Tivoli Netcool WebGUI
:IBM Tivoli Network Manager
:IBM Tivoli Netcool Configuration Manager
:IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager
In additional the consultant will:
:Provide detailed installation and integration instructions and configurations, as per clients requirements
:Provide engineering support for data integration and testing.
:Collaborate with vendors and help resolve issues
:Report all issues, problems and fault of system to client through trouble:tickets.
:Provide status reports including issues and task accomplishes and milestones reached
:Work with application owners, infrastructure support groups and ancillary operational units to define systems management requirements.
:Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, tools development and application upgrades.
:Define, design, propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the systems infrastructure. Develop configuration and implementation procedures, including the development of system documentation. Ensure high quality by participating in and following AF practices and processes.
:Maintain documentation and validation processes to ensure adherence to institutional, state, and federal policies and regulations.
