AceInfo is currently seeking a Sr Cloud Engineer to support our federal project, in Bowie, MD. We are currently seeking a candidate that will be a member of a system engineering team. Candidate will provide technical leadership to support an initiative to identify cloud models that are applicable offerings for various Census application use cases that can transition to a cloud:computing environment. Candidate will serve as the technical lead for cloud applications (examining use cases for migrating major applications to a cloud). The job would include developing cloud computing offering models, performing cloud suitability assessments, and cloud computing plans for the various applicable use cases.The work place for this position is Bowie, MD with frequent travel toSuitland MD The Client is launching various Cloud efforts to define the architecture for Decennial and its next generation topology. These efforts involve developing strategies for how to leverage A?CloudA? , defining what models Census would use (public, private, hybrid, etc.), developing deployment strategies for key systems, and managing that deployment. The client expects to leverage the experience and expertise of the Contractor for these efforts. Responsibilities shall include, but may not be limited to: Engaging Use Case representatives (application administrators)Examining RequirementsDefining applicable Cloud ModelsPlanning test and transition activitiesParticipating in high level planning meeting to inform the overall Cloud strategyCrafting documentation on an ad hoc basis, such as senior level briefings, Visio diagrams, requirements matrices, test plans, standard operating procedures, etc.Attending and facilitating meetings, producing agenda and minutes.Examining Use Cases for migrating major applications to CloudProviding migration project plans that could be handed off to Project Managers for execution Must have 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience in an enterprise level data center or infrastructure environment.Must have a demonstrated detailed understanding of Microsoft and RedHat Linux operating systems architecture with clustering particularly in a cloud environmentMust have a demonstrated detailed understanding of VMWare architecture and virtualized machines particularly in a cloud environmentMust have demonstrated experience implementing various cloud:computing base deployments including (IssS, PaaS, and SaaS)Must have experience with autoscalling and bursting applicationsMust be able to communicate well in a customer service oriented environmentMust be able to manage a team of engineers to ensure task completionMust be able to meet public trust background investigation Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen
