One such client has an immediate need for:Job Title:"Application Engineer - C, C++, Java"What you will be doingSupport critical system on site requiring troubleshooting various software applications, network equipment, and field communications. Timely communication and reporting on troubleshooting activities and resolutions.Ensure Critical Systems stabilityPerform database, application, environment, and network configurations and re-configurations.Assist with software testing and documentation.Implementing changes and upgrades to complex systems.Integrating systems with complex external systems operated by external companies or agencies.Handle documentation for procedures, training and enhancements.Perform software development.Participate on project teams to adapt RC_ ARINC's AIM rail control system for new customers, tailor base product to new customers, and develop customer specific and product enhancementsSupport and take ownership of on-site releases which may require off hours maintenanceTimely reporting and follow-throughMaintaining and improving user acceptance of the systemTrack user issues and follow through to completionAnalyzing performance of complex systems.Analyzing and Managing customer requirements.Working in a highly integrated team environmentEstablish and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAcquire knowledge of RC_ARINC related products and services.Maintain and enhance existing software baseline.Design new elements or changes in scope of project.Take responsibility for systems integration and testing of SW projects.Follow and enforce engineering guidelines set in software development plan.What you must HaveThree (3) or more years of work experience with system integration and troubleshooting of hardware/ software and networking systemsExperience with system integration and integration testing is required.Experience with field integration and network troubleshooting.Experience working with users and understanding user needs and requirements.Experience and proficiency in applying software development processes and procedures within a software development project framework.Proficient in C, C++, Java, and database design, SQL,Experience with Oracle and Windows Server operating systems requiredStrong writing and verbal communication skills.
