Description:
Opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer with sold background in hardware/software Deployment to join newly created team on a multi year contract
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides adequate and appropriate planning for hardware and communications for government facilities. Documents engineering plans and site installation technical design packages. Coordinates analysis, acquisition and installation of hardware and software. Manages those resources engaged in facility additions, moves or changes including analysis, telecommunications (LAN, WAN, voice, video) planning, cabling, IT requirements, etc. Performs site surveys. Assesses and documents current site network configuration and user requirements.
Monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, and/or evaluates hardware, software and other network related problems; provides technical expertise for performance and/or configuration of the global networks and systems. Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration. Schedules conversions and cutover. Coordinates with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. Responsible for monitoring, tracking and evaluating global Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI) incidents. Candidate may be required to respond to after:hours requests as required in a 24 x 7 environment.
Candidate must also have the appropriate DOD xxxx certification.
For those without the certification CACI will work with candidate to obtain a certification prior to them being placed on contract.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of engineering experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.
