Description:
BIT Systems is looking for a System Administrator of enterprise level experience supporting large:scale infrastructures to join our Morrie Team in Ft George Meade, MD. The ideal candidate will have a TS/SCI clearance, 2+ years of enterprise:level experience administering, supporting and troubleshooting Linux workstations and Linux/Unix servers. The individual will be primarily responsible for performing system administration on Linux/Unix servers to include deployment of virtual and physical servers, installing IAVAs, and troubleshooting server and workstation issues. The position is on a small team and the individual will have opportunities to gain experience in all areas of system administration and network administration.
Required Qualifications:
- Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2+ years of related experience in Systems Administration.
- Experience managing and applying security patches to ensure compliance with IAVAs
- 2+ years working with Linux/Unix
- Candidate must have the appropriate DOD xxxx certification
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience deploying and maintaining Sybase and/or SQL database
- Experience deploying and managing virtual servers using VMware and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience working with Classified networks
