Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. (WSSI) is seeking an entry to mid level Environmental Compliance Technician to join our team in Millersville, Maryland in Summer xxxx. Ideal candidates will have a B.S. in Environmental Studies or related field. CPESC, CESSWI, CISEC and/or Maryland MDE Green Card and SHA Yellow Card certifications are preferred, but not required. Job responsibilities will include Maryland National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) inspections and reporting, and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) development.
Candidates should possess outstanding communication skills. Daily tasks include coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies regarding environmental concerns associated with development. Working environment will include both office and fieldwork, concentrating on environmental permit compliance and reporting for active construction sites. Applicants are expected to be proficient in Microsoft Office.
