They were known for building very high quality instruments, and they enjoyed huge success well into the 20th Century. The Pullman line was sold as an affordable alternative to the costlier Starr name, while offering comparable quality.
The piano is free - the $250 (cash) is to cover professional piano movers to take it out of my house and deliver it to your destination. You would be resposible for an additional fee per step (the quote I received was $7 per step) to place it in its final location.
