Back in May xxxx, these kittens were found living on the property of a commercial roofing company behind a pallet of lumber. Though their feral mother was still nursing them, these little ones toddled out to eat the "big kitty" food at 5 weeks old. The caretaker was able to pick up the small kittens and get them to safety with a CARA volunteer. We found out later that the lumber pallet was not a safe place for small kittens as tragedy had already struck down two of their littermates. Upon coming to a CARA foster home, they tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, have been dewormed, and have received their first two rounds of distemper shots. Because of their hard start at life, they are still a little too small to be spayed and neutered. They will receive their rabies shots when they are old enough.
