Rocky is our most recent rescue family member. He is an owner surrender to us, about 2 years old, is learning lots of new "in the house" things since this is his first time actually living indoors. Rocky has pretty much lived his entire life outside. The owners told us that when the weather became really really bad they would bring him into a crate (that was too small for him). Rocky also had to suffer through the abuse of the pre-teenage son. The son has a history of animal abuse that the parents seem to think is OK (boys will be boys type of thinking). Rocky was a lucky one from that home...he is with us...one other was killed and another had a leg broken. In cases like this the real of it is this family will just get another dog who will have to suffer through the same abuse and neglect.
